Officially started in 2011 with a small loop, modified to a figure 8 with a pond in 2012, and then expanded in 2022 after I retired. The elevated switch yard at the back of our house makes it much easier to set up and run trains. Currently the 320 feet is track powered with RailPro controls.
I guess we'll call it the "Dogone Railroad", reason being that we currently have four dogs that have the run of the yard. Because of the dogs we don't have many structures, even the small fairy village gets run over every now and then.
Thankfully my wife, Carol, is as interested in it as I am. She used to ride the Northern Pacific between Billings Montana and St. Paul while she attended Macalester college for four years.
